Favorite TCNJ memory
Participating in the LeaderShape Institute! It was such an amazing experience being able to meet so many other student leaders in such a vulnerable and self-reflective environment, while also having so many opportunities to have fun and make friends! LeaderShape is one of many great examples of the opportunities that can be found at TCNJ, and a perfect snapshot of the kind of excellence and inclusiveness TCNJ cultivates. It also put me in touch with a lot of the Ambassadors I now call family!
One piece of advice for Prospective Students
Don’t allow your fear of failure, or failure itself, to define you. I was far from the perfect student — dropping out of my first college and taking twice as long to get through community college — but rather than seeing every failure as a destination, I saw it as an opportunity for growth. It made me a better student than most of my peers at my previous college, with opportunities finding me that few others can relate to. Challenge yourself, and be resilient and self-reflective in the face of setbacks or failure.
